As we approach winter, we've had time to use and enjoy our summer spaces as much as possible, and stretch the alfresco dining and seating areas far into the autumn.

Now is the time to think about how we can improve them next year, be it a new pool or more thought out pool houses and outbuildings. We recently attained planning and listed building consent for a variety of fenestration changes and renovations to give this property a new lease of life. When the modern fabric comes away, you get a fabulous insight into how historic craftsmen would make repairs using whatever was to hand!

The whole team had a good day out last week on a CPD day. Started off with an extremely interesting tour and talk @lambsbricksandstone with James and Jake. As architects, it's crucial to see first hand how materials that we use are produced.

After a delicious lunch, the team enjoyed a tour and walk around the Priest House in West Hoathly.

One of the charms of oast houses in Sussex and Kent is that whilst their original function, the drying of hops, is the same, the variety of combinations of kilns and stowage is enormous. So do the cowls which are generally common to one county or the other. They also make a rather nice home!
