This formal house is set in the middle of an historic Kent village. Built in a conservaton area and adjacent to Listed Buildings, it presented a few planning and design challenges. With 3-bay facades to each elevation, the principal (front) elevation has two bay window and the garden elevation has a colonnaded loggia from which the garden falls away to the village high street. To achieve a light touch the brickwork is flemish bond Cambridge stock under a low pitch slate roof. Garages, services and ancillary buildings are tucked around the rear.
